About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Coordinator to join our team at the Shire of Capel. As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-level engineering outcomes and the successful management of municipal infrastructure and capital works projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical advice and guidance on infrastructure development and capital works projects
  2. Oversee infrastructure maintenance programs, including funding, quality control, and compliance with relevant standards
  3. Manage contract procurement, contractor performance, and compliance for infrastructure projects
  4. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project management and strategic direction
  5. Support the Manager of Engineering & Works in decision-making and engineering matters
  6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop policies, procedures, and technical documents for Engineering Services
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need significant experience in local government, particularly in civil engineering or a related discipline, with a focus on infrastructure projects and capital works. You will also require strong knowledge of local government regulations and Australian standards, as well as proficiency in engineering software and project management.
