Imagine a role that allows you to make a meaningful impact on the security of open source software and its users. As an Ubuntu Security Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team working tirelessly to protect the global community from emerging threats.

Our team is responsible for monitoring, triaging, responding to, and documenting new and existing vulnerabilities in open source software. This involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to identify issues, prioritize them, and coordinate remediation.

This is an engineering-focused role that may also involve activities such as producing security assessments, building features, conducting code reviews, developing internal tools, engaging with the open source community, and participating in industry initiatives and events.

As part of this role, you will work with some of the best and brightest people in technology to address complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions.

This position requires international travel at least twice a year, usually for one week. It also demands the ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.

Key Responsibilities:
