Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced tradesperson to join our Building Asset Renewal team as a Leading Hand/Carpenter.
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of remedial and renewal construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and team coordination across various sites.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily site activities under the supervision of the Site Manager or Foreman.
- Perform carpentry tasks including structural repairs, timber framing, cladding, and finish work.
- Maintain accurate site records and contribute to project reporting.
- Support apprentices and labourers through onboarding and mentoring.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Participate in toolbox talks, site inspections, and incident investigations.
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (Cert III or higher).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial or remedial construction preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications is beneficial.
- Familiarity with QA, Safety, and Environmental systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency with site management tools and mobile apps is desirable.
