Porter - Temporary Position Available

Job Title

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join our team in Brownsville, Texas. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business need.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to sanitation and food safety practices.
  • Evaluate receiving spaces to ensure a secure environment and complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks accurately.
  • Assist with restocking supplies and coordinate job duties with other opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening.
  • Put away food orders accurately and rotate stock using the first-in-first-out method while monitoring shelf life and code dates.
  • Maintain a basic working knowledge of restaurant equipment and complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.

Position Details:

  • This is a 3-month temporary position with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.
  • Location: Brownsville, Texas

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in restaurants, warehouses, or customer service

Preferred Skills:

  • Restaurant experience
  • Inventory experience
  • Self-motivated and works well with others
  • Current food handler card or equivalent

Benefits:

  • Ability to carry heavy items up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time - up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Willingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
