Job Overview
\As a clinical expert in pediatric speech pathology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments and consultations to children and young people with complex mental health challenges, trauma, or disabilities.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.\
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.\
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to improve communication skills and overall well-being.\
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to speech pathology practice.\
- Provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.\
- Stay up-to-date with current clinical knowledge and best practices in the field.\
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for clients and their families.\
- Contribute to the development of programs and services that promote early intervention and prevention of communication disorders.\
- Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of pediatric speech pathology.\
Requirements:

- Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership.\
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, including research and quality improvement.\
- Experience in assessment and delivery in one-to-one client models.\
- Ability to inspire, influence, lead, and motivate staff.\
- High-level interpersonal skills, including communication, leadership, and conflict management.\
- Capacity to utilise a parent capacity-building model.\
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.\
- Advanced organisational and time management skills.\
- Experience in supervision, coaching, mentoring, or peer support.\
- Strong understanding of child development and communication disorders.\
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\
