About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Developer to join our team at Flying Bark Productions. As a key member of our pipeline crew, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our studio's pipeline and toolset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with VFX, CG supervisors, production managers, and artists to provide technical guidance and support.
  • Attend technical meetings to provide clarity on pipeline development and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with the pipeline team, production, and artists to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Develop solutions for project-level workflows, expanding company pipeline capabilities.
  • Document new and existing workflows for the benefit of technical and creative teams.
  • Work with the Shotgrid Toolkit Framework and experience with Asset Management systems is a must.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Katana, Nuke, and Houdini, as well as Toon Boom Harmony, is required.
  • Excellent Python coding skills are essential, with C++ knowledge a bonus.
Requirements
  • Previous pipeline production experience, preferably in animation or VFX.
  • Experience with Katana is preferred, as we are improving our lighting pipeline.
  • Sydney candidates are preferred, but remote opportunities within Australia or relocation to Sydney are considered.
  • Familiarity with our studio software stack, including Maya, Katana, Houdini, Nuke, AVID, Tractor, Toon Boom Harmony, and Substance Painter.
  • Proficiency in Python, Shotgrid API, Shotgrid Toolkit, and REZ is required.
  • Bonus points for experience leading pipeline in a past project or contributing to open-source projects.
