Logistics Coordinator

The Reach Stacker Operator plays a pivotal role in coordinating and executing the loading and unloading of trains within terminals and sidings. Ensuring compliance with safe-working and operational procedures is essential to this position.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate forklifts and reach stackers to move containers and load/unload trains as required, maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Utilize terminal equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts to facilitate smooth operations.
- Develop and forward-plan terminal service requirements for scheduled trains, ensuring seamless execution.
- Conduct regular train and equipment inspections to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Update the Transport Management System and oversee the processing of customer trucks at the gate, maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
- Provide effective inductions to customers and contractors entering the terminal, fostering a positive and secure environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Forklift and Reach Stacker licenses/experience are preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn about Aurizon's operations are essential qualities for this role.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are vital to success in this position.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet rail medical standards are also key requirements.
