We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations.

Maintenance Leadership Opportunity

This role is critical in maintaining the reliability and performance of our fixed plant while driving a strong preventative maintenance culture and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Champion the implementation of a preventative maintenance culture that focuses on asset longevity and reliability.
  • Ensure all fixed plant and equipment are operating safely and well within statutory requirements.
  • Lead and oversee asset management plans, including rebuilds, major inspections, and lifecycle strategies.
  • Manage consumables with a focus on optimising screen media usage and minimising unnecessary costs or waste.
  • Ensure critical components and spares are managed effectively to minimise plant downtime.

A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a passion for troubleshooting and root cause analysis is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive the implementation of a zero-harm safety culture across the team.
  2. Develop and implement effective asset management strategies to ensure optimal plant performance.
  3. Manage contractor performance, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with service expectations.
  4. Track and control repairs & maintenance costs, ensuring conformance with budget targets.
  5. Maintain accurate records and ensure scheduled maintenance procedures are followed.
  6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance planning, plant performance, and safety.
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Fitter, Mechanic, Boilermaker)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a fixed plant maintenance environment (quarry, mining, or heavy industry preferred)
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP CMMS or similar systems
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, risk management, and Zero Harm principles
  • Working at Heights, EWP licence, and manual driver's licence
