About Ascent Professional Services

We are a Defence and Security Industry consultancy focused on the provision of engineering, project management and risk management services to the Department of Defence, Australian Space Agency and Defence Prime Contractors.

About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from high-level problem solvers and change-makers for opportunities across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working within a Defence Regulated Engineering environment to create and or review Engineering Artefacts such as Engineering Management Plans, Test and Evaluation Plans and System Certification documentation.
  • Management of aircraft and unmanned aviation systems IAW Defence Aviation Safety Regulations.
  • Facilitate the preparation of Maritime Armaments Review Board (MARB) documentation.
  • Manage and co-ordinate technical and project outcomes.
  • Developing requirements and specifications for new and proposed Defence systems.
  • Test and Evaluation of Defence Systems.
  • Certification of Defence Systems, processes & artefacts.
  • Providing engineering recommendations and advice for briefs and presentations on Defence Systems.
  • Application of 'System Safety' standards and practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management (Sponsors & Stakeholders)
Requirements:
  • An engineering degree or technical / trades background with at least eight years experience, Australian Defence Force or Australian Public Service experience.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen with a current or reinstate able ASGVA clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a minimum of NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance.
  • Eligibility criteria can be found at ITAR regulations apply and as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability.
