Shutdown Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shutdown Coordinator to join our team.

  • This role requires previous experience coordinating a team on a mine site, with a strong safety focus and the ability to mentor team members.
About The Job:

The Shutdown Coordinator will be responsible for supervising all activities to ensure safety standards are maintained, deadlines are met, and works are completed accurately to specifications.

  • Conduct regular pre-starts and toolbox meetings to communicate planning and team direction.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise employees to continually improve processes and strive for operational efficiency.
  • Project plan and prepare works, ensuring adherence to QA processes and high-quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Shovel or dragline shutdown experience.
  • Relevant trade qualification.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Experience working in a heavy machinery/mine site environment.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Supervisor and G2 certificates.
  • Coal Board Medical.
  • Standard 11 - Statement of Attainment.
  • Working at Heights.
  • Confined Space.
  • Gas Test Atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading small teams of tradespeople and apprentices.
  • Excellent time management, people skills, and a willingness to build a cohesive team.
