Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and ambitious Plant Mechanic to lead our team in a permanent full-time position. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for motivating and guiding a team of skilled mechanics and apprentices to achieve high safety standards and deliver exceptional results.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of technicians and support staff to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Promote and maintain high-quality standards across all projects.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement effective processes to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Safely and efficiently oversee the maintenance process, ensuring accurate fault detection and reporting.
  • Operate forklifts with precision and attention to detail.
Key Requirements:
  • A heavy mobile plant trade qualification or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive business success.
  • Experience with machine and component rebuilds is a significant advantage.
