Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Service Technician. This key member will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment across various customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and maintenance of equipment
  • Commissioning and training of machinery
  • Diagnosing machine issues or customer complaints and finding solutions
  • Coordinating with the office team to ensure effective planning and delivery of the service schedule
  • Conducting regular machine inspections
  • Assisting in the training of apprentices and other staff as required

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge and experience of repairing and servicing plant equipment, preferably large mobile plant on customer sites. They should also possess an NVQ 3 in Mechanical Engineering/Plant Maintenance or equivalent, along with proven experience in a Service Technician/Light Vehicle Mechanic role for at least 2 years.

Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge and experience of repairing/servicing plant equipment
  • NVQ 3 in Mechanical Engineering/Plant Maintenance or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a Service Technician/Light Vehicle Mechanic role
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
