Logistics Operations Leader
The ideal candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of a fleet of Trucks, Quads, and Trailers, ensuring efficient delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Victoria.
This full-time role is based in Melbourne, with the main depot in Craigieburn and additional depots in Plumpton and Dandenong. You will play a vital role in building relationships with Plant Hires to secure work for our fleet and team.
- Schedule and manage onboarding and operational efficiency of our fleet, proactively managing documentation.
- Lead a team of experienced truck operators, coordinating schedules, job assignments, docketing, and invoicing for timely payments.
- Develop policies to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency, monitoring vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and key performance metrics.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior logistics or operations management role.
- Deep knowledge of logistics, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational, planning, and reporting skills for complex logistics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in logistics, especially related to fleet management and cartage.
