Senior Social Worker Role

The position of Senior Social Worker involves providing senior clinical leadership and team management within the Social Work Department. This includes supporting mentoring and development of staff, as well as carrying a clinical caseload.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior clinical leadership and team management within the Social Work Department.
  • Support mentoring and development of staff and carry a clinical caseload.
  • Contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery with a focus on continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and significant clinical experience in Social Work services.
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining professional relationships (written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution).
  • Ability to identify opportunities to lead service delivery improvements, incorporating evidence-based practice and research.
