Aviation Officer Role Overview

This role presents a unique opportunity to provide aviation services in Adelaide, offering a chance to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safe flight operations, adhering to CASA regulations and company policies.
  • They will also report any operational or maintenance deficiencies promptly.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Conducting pre-flight and post-flight documentation;
  • Participating in helicopter EMS, Search and Rescue, and SA Police Operations;
  • Providing accurate visual observation and information to the Pilot;
  • Maintaining readiness of operational role equipment;
  • Employing and installing role equipment;
  • Operating rescue hoist and associated equipment as per Babcock Operations Manual;
  • Performing duties in the Front Left Seat (FLS) and using Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS);
  • Ensuring security and safe configuration of cabin and equipment; and
Essential Requirements

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Certificate of Competency in Winching and Rappelling Operations;
  • 500 hours of Rotary Wing Aircrew Officer experience;
  • Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate;
  • Current Senior First Aid (HLTAID011) and Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015) Certificate;
  • HUET with EBS Qualified;
  • Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC); and
  • NVIS Aircrew endorsement;
