Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join us in making a positive impact in our community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in the disability sector and providing high-quality support services.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive, and motivated by improvement. They will also have a genuine passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a desire to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will be responsible for assessing participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity. You will interpret findings to formulate treatment goals tailored to each participant and provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.

You will also support and advise on environmental adaptations, including home, school, work, and residential facilities. Additionally, you will recommend the provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.

Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to learn from new ideas.
  • Desire to work in a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
