Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

This role will focus on managing virtual server environments, backup and recovery operations, system monitoring, and day-to-day incident resolution. You will play a critical part in maintaining business continuity and providing reliable support across our technology landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, configure, and maintain virtual server infrastructure to meet business requirements.
  • Administer backup and recovery processes using best-in-class tools.
  • Monitor systems performance and availability using advanced tools such as SolarWinds, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests, providing effective troubleshooting and resolution within agreed timeframes.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, patching, and updates to safeguard system health and compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT peers to deliver seamless infrastructure support and continuous improvements.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures to support operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Hands-on expertise in managing virtualized server environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
  • Experience using monitoring and alerting platforms such as SolarWinds.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and experience handling daily incidents and service requests.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications will be highly regarded.
