Job Title: Enterprise IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, stability, and security of our IT infrastructure.

This role will involve managing virtual server environments, backup and recovery operations, system monitoring, and day-to-day incident resolution. You will play a critical part in maintaining business continuity and providing reliable support across our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Management: Build, configure, and maintain virtual server infrastructure to meet business requirements.
  • Backup and Recovery: Administer backup and recovery processes using Commvault, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor systems performance and availability using tools such as SolarWinds, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Incident Resolution: Respond to incidents and service requests, providing effective troubleshooting and resolution within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintenance and Updates: Perform regular system maintenance, patching, and updates to safeguard system health and compliance.

You Will Need:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Virtual Server Expertise: Hands-on expertise in managing virtualised server environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Backup and Recovery Knowledge: Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, ideally with Commvault.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Experience using monitoring and alerting platforms such as SolarWinds.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve incidents efficiently.
  • ITIL Practices: Understanding of ITIL practices and experience handling daily incidents and service requests.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Commvault) will be highly regarded.
