Belt Splicer Position Overview

South East Conveyors and Engineering is seeking an experienced Belt Splicer to join their Field Service Team located in Adelaide. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for attending sites to install and maintain conveyor belting systems.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience and knowledge in materials handling conveyor belt systems & associated components such as roller identification, roller frames, skirting systems, belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, transfer chutes and conveyor structures.

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to safety and quality, with fault-finding and problem-solving skills and a 'can-do' attitude. You will also possess a High Risk Licence - EWP, Rigger, FL, Crane; Working at Heights and Confined Space - less than 2 years old; and a First Aid Certificate.

  • Belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric, steel cord and solid woven belt;
  • Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair;
  • Cold and Hot repairs;
  • Belt audits;

This is a full-time, permanent position with an hourly rate of $33.20 - $70.00 per hour. You will work an 8-hour shift and must be able to commute or relocate to Wingfield, SA before starting work.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Belt Splicer;
  • Substantial experience and knowledge in materials handling conveyor belt systems & associated components such as roller identification, roller frames, skirting systems, belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, transfer chutes and conveyor structures;
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality;
  • Fault-finding and problem-solving with a 'can-do' attitude, with knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations;
  • High Risk Licence - EWP, Rigger, FL, Crane;
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space - less than 2 years old;
  • First Aid Certificate;
