Job Title: Kitchen Team Leader

A key role in our culinary team, the Kitchen Team Leader oversees kitchen staff and ensures food preparation meets high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise kitchen staff to maintain food quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes.
  • Oversee daily tasks and ensure seamless execution of menus.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of working areas to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Prepare mise-en-place for various menus.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest queries.
  • Source and store high-quality foodstuffs correctly.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to achieve common goals.
  • Support senior chefs in training staff according to procedures.
  • Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety issues.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience as a chef or equivalent position.
  • Valid Australian working rights.
  • A current trade qualification in commercial cookery.
  • Excellent coaching skills and ability to motivate teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently or in teams.
