Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Joint Replacement team as a Mako Robotics Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity to become a key clinical partner in advancing orthopaedic surgery through the application of cutting-edge robotic technology.

This is a full time, permanent position based in Canberra.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using Stryker's Mako system. This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge, technical acumen, and the ability to thrive in the fast-paced environment of the operating theatre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff during Mako-assisted procedures.

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.

  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.

  • Deliver ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.

  • Travel across Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites.

Requirements

  • Strong clinical background in orthopaedics or a related field.

  • Experience working in operating theatre settings.

  • Technical proficiency with software and medical technology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
