At Consolidated Power Projects, we are a leading provider of high-voltage infrastructure solutions in the renewable energy sector. Our team is seeking a highly experienced Senior High Voltage Design Lead to join our engineering department.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer to lead high-voltage design projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing design teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of quality designs, and coordinating cross-discipline designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Team Management: Lead a team of engineers, drafters, and external consultants to deliver high-quality designs and associated engineering documents within specified timeframes and budgets.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Cross-Discipline Coordination: Effectively coordinate designs from various disciplines, including civil, structural, primary electrical, secondary systems, protection, and SCADA.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively resolve technical issues, working collaboratively with project teams and engineering groups to deliver projects efficiently.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in high-voltage design, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in design management, including ISO 9000/QA processes and procedures, electric engineering codes of practice, and industry standards.
