The Queensland Fire Department's Fire Communications Centre requires a seasoned leader to manage and coordinate emergency response services.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the efficient despatch of resources, provide guidance to Communications Officers, and contribute to policy improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage shift operations to ensure effective resource allocation
- Develop Communication Officers' capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and training
- Identify standby requirements and liaise with operational staff to reduce gaps in coverage
- Notify Senior Operational staff of incidents and liaise with media officers as per policies and procedures
- Contribute to the identification of improvements and amendments to policy, systems, and procedures

Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship or Australian Resident Status
- Current holder of Certificate III in Public Safety (Emergency Communications Centre Operations)
- Ability to successfully complete training programs of the Communications Training and Professional Development Program (CTPDP) at the prescribed level
