Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will need to become a product expert in a short amount of time and remain up-to-date with product and industry changes.

The role is critical to the success of our team, which is part of Charles River Development (CRD), now a part of State Street. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. We have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, launched in 2019.

This is a challenging role that involves delivering next-generation infrastructure using emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysing and evaluating client requirements while providing product expertise and guidance throughout the project.
  • Ensuring the solution meets the client's business needs, training clients, testing workflows, resolving issues, and preparing the client to assume ownership and operate the solution after go-live.
  • Documenting client requirements and workflows and successfully transitioning the client to Technical Support and Relationship Management in preparation for go live.
  • Monitoring and evaluating client requirements to identify potential enhancements to Charles River solutions and services.
  • Providing weekly, detailed project status to senior management at Charles River and within the client, highlighting issues, risks, and scope changes.
  • Contributing to software quality by clearly communicating defects to Technical Support and Product Management.
  • Supporting the defect resolution process by providing clear descriptions of defects and validating resulting fixes.
  • Aiding other members of the Professional Services team and proactively developing and sharing best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Investment Solutions or Technology.
  • Experience supporting or implementing front, middle office investment management solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or wealth management firm.
  • Basic understanding of investment management or wealth management workflows, including portfolio management, trading, Compliance, IBOR, PMA, Risk, and Scenario Analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of equity, fixed income, and FX instruments front and middle office workflows.
  • Basic command of SQL and understanding of relational databases.
  • Familiarity with FIX or similar protocols and Crystal Reports or similar reporting packages.
Additional Requirements
  • The ability to travel to client sites throughout Asia Pacific and work effectively when remote from clients.
  • A bachelor's degree from a leading university or college in Finance, Business/Mathematical Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • Advanced degree or industry certification such as the CFA is a strong plus.
  • 2-3+ years of consulting experience in the Financial/Financial Software Services industry.
