About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Sustainability Project Coordinator to join our team at nrmjobs.com.au. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects that promote environmental sustainability and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, environmental agencies, and community members.
  • Site Selection & Management: Conduct thorough site assessments to identify suitable locations for vegetation plantings, including a base knowledge of soil types and native species.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Establish robust monitoring systems to track project performance and key performance indicators.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field(s)
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Knowledge and experience in effective techniques for revegetation
  • Experience in native plant and weed identification
  • MAPPING & GIS EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment with the cultural context when working with Aboriginal or other Indigenous peoples.
  • Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication skills, highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to use Microsoft Office programs in the preparation of reports.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary package, negotiable based on experience and skill set, including a company vehicle.
  • An attractive salary range: $95,000 - $110,000 per annum.
  • A 12-month contract initially, with transition to a permanent full-time position thereafter for the right candidate.
  • A 3-month probationary period is applicable.
  • This role will commence in April/May 2024.
