Technical Artist Job Description

Welcome to LNW Gaming ANZ Pty Ltd, where we're revolutionizing the world of land-based gaming. As a Technical Artist, you'll be part of our cutting-edge gaming team, building innovative technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement software systems, art assets, game engine assets, shaders, and real-time visual effects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and artists to ensure products meet look-and-feel and performance requirements.
  • Identify and solve technical issues related to the art pipeline.
  • Provide technical feedback to artists to ensure optimized asset creation.
  • Document and evangelize best practices.
  • Develop tools and scripts to optimize Unity workflow.
  • Profile and debug game performance to identify areas for optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in game engines, digital content creation software, and tools.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a game development studio.
  • Familiarity with versioning software (Perforce preferred).
  • Experience creating motion graphics or animations.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with game engines.
Preferred Skills:
  • Software engineering (C#).
  • Unity.
  • Tool development (C# and Python).
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics (Photoshop/After Effects and Blender).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of shaders and profiling/optimization techniques.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, art, or a related field.
Workplace Health and Safety:
  • Actively cooperate and comply with the company's WHS policy and program.
  • Ensure compliance with safe work practices.
  • Report incidents, injuries, and near misses.
