About the Role
As a Site Supervisor with Ventia, you will be responsible for directing a team of multi-disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage safety, quality, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
• Safety and Environment: Ensure a strong safety culture, address incidents swiftly, and communicate effectively with the team. Adhere to policies and procedures, and ensure required permits are issued on time.

• Program and Resource Management: Manage construction walk-outs, planning, scoping, and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently and delivered on time. Manage subcontractors, escalate issues, and conduct daily inspections of all staff and works. Report and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring practical completions are completed and submitted on time.

• Quality: Promote no re-work, perform quality audits, and ensure contractual compliance is met.

• Community and Stakeholder Involvement: Understand community and stakeholder requirements from the FSA Management and actively manage these requirements on site during construction.

• Leadership: Foster a team culture of ownership and excellence.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a related industry or construction
  • Trade qualification or supervisory qualifications preferred
  • Competent computer skills
  • Current drivers' license
  • Construction white card
  • Asbestos management, Traffic control, first aid – preferred (or willingness to undertake training)
  • Full working rights in Australia
