Job Title:

School Facilities Manager

This role is responsible for providing expert operational advice to support the safe and efficient delivery of cleaning, grounds and facilities management across school sites.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing evidence-based strategies to improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes for Cleaners and Schools Officers, Grounds and Facilities staff.
  • They will also provide high-level advice to senior executives on various issues related to equipment, chemicals and consumable items.
  • In addition, they will facilitate the delivery and scheduling of training programs for school-based facilities staff and maintain site measurement information for state schools.
  • Travel will be a requirement for this role, which involves working collaboratively with colleagues across different sites.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to participate in project teams developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures.

  • You will be expected to provide high-quality advice to management and senior executives, drawing on your experience participating in project teams.
  • You will also be responsible for providing advice and support to school staff on safe work practices and developing annual audit programs.
  • A current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services is required for this role.
