Early Career Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

This is a full-time, long-term contract position offering exceptional professional development opportunities.

About the Role:
  • As an Early Career Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to inpatients and outpatients, ensuring safe and timely discharge, and improved independence and occupational outcomes for patients.
  • The position is rotational and will provide services across subacute services depending on roster, including rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of clients' occupational abilities, problems and needs using various assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement intervention programs tailored to individual client needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient-centred care.
  • Document assessment findings and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Sound professional judgement and clinical reasoning to complex situations and patient management.
  • Ability to undertake assessments and interventions with clients with a range of illnesses and disabilities relevant to older people and rehabilitation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
