Job Description

Savana Environmental specialises in hazardous waste management and removal services throughout Western Australia.

They provide asbestos inspection and removal, decontamination and encapsulation, refurbishment, demolitions, air monitoring, and building surveys.

The company holds an unrestricted asbestos removal licence issued by WorkSafe for the removal of all forms of asbestos throughout Western Australia.

Additionally, they are accredited by the IICRC for restoration services, including mould remediation.

General warehouse duties will be a primary focus for this role, which includes operating forklifts safely and efficiently, conducting regular stock takes, and ensuring accurate records are kept.

About the Role

A motivated and reliable yard hand is required to join the team at Savana Environmental. This role involves assisting with general yard duties, moving boxes and equipment, operating forklifts, conducting stock takes, and ensuring proper storage and organisation of goods.

  • Assisting with organisational and maintenance tasks within the yard and equipment.
  • Moving heavy loads and equipment, requiring physical effort and attention to safety procedures.
  • Operating forklifts efficiently and safely to load, unload, and move materials.
  • Conducting regular stock takes and inventory management to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements

This position requires a candidate who has the following qualifications and skills:

  • A current unrestricted driver's license is essential.
  • A holder of a White Card is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in warehouse assistance or equivalent.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
