The Geospatial Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving the department's analytical capabilities by leading a small, multi-disciplinary team responsible for capturing, curating and analyzing spatial data to support business areas.

This involves close collaboration with business units across the department to understand their policy and program needs for data and information. The team aims to deliver geospatial capability and support the Department through the provision of spatial data, analysis, and products that inform evidence-based policy and decision making.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual who can:

- Design and implement user-centric tools, systems or processes that leverage spatial data to drive business outcomes

- Deliver complex research projects that directly support the department's analytical needs

- Manage projects, contracts, and budgets effectively

Key attributes of the ideal candidate include excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and representation skills, as well as experience in successfully managing diverse stakeholder relationships.

A strong understanding and practical experience handling different types of data, including geospatial/temporal dimensions, is essential.
