Childhood Education Trainee

This is a unique opportunity to work with children, gain new skills and be employed while receiving training subsidised by the NSW Government.

As a Childhood Education Trainee, you will play an integral role in developing and implementing curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages and individual needs of children. You will use play-based and hands-on learning strategies to encourage exploration, creativity, and curiosity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to educate children, be self-motivated, honest, reliable and a team player. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing curriculum plans
  • Using play-based and hands-on learning strategies
  • Adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities and cultural backgrounds
  • Observing and assessing the developmental progress of each child
  • Fostering a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Ability to work with children aged 0-12 years
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
