About Your Role

The NSW Health service is looking for a Mental Health Advocate to join their team. The successful candidate will work with individuals who have been victims of domestic violence and their non-offending family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing crisis intervention and response using a trauma-informed approach
  • Coordinating cases, including intake, assessment, case planning, and referral functions
  • Advocating for clients and collaborating with MLHD Health Professionals working in acute and non-acute settings
  • Ensuring clients receive the necessary support across services

Requirements:

  • A genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31H of the Anti-discrimination Act: being a person of female gender
