Community Support Assistant

As a Community Support Assistant, you will be working in a group setting, supporting individuals with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson's, Huntington's, MND, ABI, and Stroke. You will be involved in assisting several engaging activities such as arts & crafts, board games, gardening, quizzes, and team games, promoting social connection and community engagement.

Job Description:
  • Lead and support outreach activities that promote social connection and engagement.
  • Assist the Kitchen Supervisor in preparing and serving meals, ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
  • Deliver exceptional service with a strong focus on enhancing the client experience.
  • Follow individual care plans to meet each client's unique needs and preferences.
  • Provide mobility assistance to support safe and comfortable movement.
  • Stay attuned to emotional and physical needs, ensuring care is always person-centered and responsive.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for supporting people with disability or the frail aged.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Confidence using systems and technology in your daily work.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
