You will be a vital part of our team, working as a Road Safety Hero to ensure the safety of children, parents, teachers and local motorists in the Newcastle LGA - Minmi Area.
This is a casual position which will provide relief at school zones between 8.00 to 9.30AM and 2.30 to 4.00PM, Monday to Friday during the school term.
As a Road Safety Aide, you will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation and have the opportunity to grow into a much-loved familiar face around the school.
About You:
We are looking for a community-minded person who would like to contribute to the safety of their local community.
You should be reliable, prepared to show up for your community - in good or bad weather.
Apart from being alert to potential dangers, you will display effective communication skills.
If you have a passion for making community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.
Your Responsibilities:
- To work safely and effectively within the school zone hours.
- To maintain a positive relationship with children, parents, teachers, and local motorists.
