The City of Newcastle is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Undergraduate Engineer to join our Planning and Development team.

About the Job

This graduate position will provide an opportunity for a Civil Engineering student to gain practical experience in the field, working on projects that contribute to the development of the city.

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for assessing and determining transport and traffic applications, preparing advice on local and strategic transport traffic planning issues, and gaining experience in preparing professional and technical development engineering advice.

The role will rotate between the Traffic & Transport Section and the Engineering Assessment Section, providing a comprehensive understanding of both areas.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and determine transport and traffic applications
  • Prepare advice on local and strategic transport traffic planning issues
  • Gain experience in preparing professional and technical development engineering advice
