Job Summary

SLR is seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will be responsible for conducting groundwater monitoring programs, performing field studies, and preparing quality reports for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine integrated monitoring programs, including groundwater, surface water, soils, and air quality sampling, while adhering to SLR procedures and industry best practices.
  • Perform field studies, including hydrogeological site investigations, drilling programs, monitoring bore installations, and hydraulic testing.
  • Participate in training for UAV (drone) surveys.
  • Prepare quality factual reports based on field and laboratory data collected for or provided by clients.
  • Develop Health and Safety documentation for field work.
  • Liaise with site personnel, suppliers, and laboratory personnel to ensure smooth delivery of field work.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Science or Engineering, specializing in Hydrogeology or a related field.
  • Have practical experience in hydrogeology, with demonstrated skills in groundwater monitoring and sampling data analysis, groundwater bore drilling and construction, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Working knowledge of QLD groundwater legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines is highly desirable.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in groundwater data analysis and interpretation are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Manual driver's license and previous 4WD experience and training are highly desirable.
  • Australian citizenship/working rights are essential.
