Operations Manager

About the Role:

The Operations Manager will oversee terminal shift operations, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of cargo. They will manage teams and coordinate logistics to meet productivity and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities include leading operational staff on performance and attendance, as well as ensuring compliance with industrial agreements.

Additionally, they will monitor and manage operational costs, drive continuous improvement in shift KPIs, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Safety is a top priority. The successful candidate must understand stevedoring operations, safety compliance, and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including coordination of cargo handling and yard activities.
  • Ensure timely execution of all cargo operations, maintaining high productivity levels.
  • Supervise and train staff, addressing performance issues and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
