Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join our team at St Michael's Primary School, Nelson Bay. As a Temporary Full-Time Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students and contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs, promoting student engagement and motivation, and fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve educational outcomes and contribute to the development of a comprehensive curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching programs that cater to diverse learning needs and styles
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices
Requirements
  • Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher
  • Active NESA Accreditation
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Completion of CPR training
