The Opportunity to Contribute to Council's Operations
Lithgow City Council is seeking a skilled Labourer to join their Rural Works Team in Lithgow, NSW.

The Labourer will be responsible for carrying out various duties relevant to Council's operations, following work instructions and undertaking other tasks as requested by the Rural Works Coordinator.
Key responsibilities include:
- Laying pipes and stormwater infrastructure
- Maintaining and operating plant and equipment
- Producing concrete structures such as footpaths, drives, and retaining walls
- Controlling traffic, including setting up procedures according to Traffic Control Plans, maintaining traffic flow, and reporting traffic problems
- Performing roadworks, including setup, construction, and maintenance of roads
In addition, the successful applicant may act in higher-grade roles throughout the rural works team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Class C Driver's Licence
- Previous labouring experience
- WH&S Induction for Construction Work (Whitecard)
- Traffic Control Tickets (Stop/Slow and Apply Traffic Control Plans)
Additionally, ideal candidates will have experience with concrete set-out, trades assistance, and plant operation, as well as a current First Aid Certificate.
