Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Draftsperson to join our client's team. As a Design Draftsperson, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drafts for medium to large material handling equipment.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineers to develop designs and drafts from initial concept to manufacture
  • Produce 3D engineering drafts and drawings using Inventor software
  • Design and detailed drafting of structural steel, walkways, and stairs
  • Develop mechanical designs, including hydraulic elements
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement in drafting
  • Present project analysis and reports in design review meetings
  • Occasional site visits to clients
  • Reverse engineering drafting and design
  • Manage Bills of Materials and build lists for designated projects

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years' experience designing in Australia, preferably in mobile plant or material handling equipment design
  • TAFE qualification in a relevant field
  • Ability to record and manage Bills of Materials
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
