Structural and Mechanical Draftsperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural and Mechanical Draftsperson to join our team at Next Day Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality CAD models and drafting detailed designs for manufacturing plant layouts and site templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce structural steel drafts with AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Generate structural engineering drafts of plant and site layouts
  • Structural detailing of buildings, pipework, walkways, and overhead cranes
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and drafting development
  • Liaising with clients and sub-contractors as required
  • Learn about material estimation and control of bills of materials
  • Report and present project analysis within design reviews
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ERP/MRP systems is advantageous

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in detailed design
  • 5 years' experience with Inventor
  • Team player with a passion for 3D design
  • Able to commit to a lengthy contract
