About the Role

The End User Computing Specialist will provide high-level technical expertise across a range of desktop technologies, collaborating with InfraBuild's vendor partners to ensure seamless escalations.

This role will ensure the delivery of a positive end-user experience through the provision of quality and timely Level 2 IT support, adhering to operational procedures, service level agreement timeframes, and IT Service Management best practices.

The End User Computing Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing Level 2 IT support and serving as an escalation point for high-impact and complex incidents during business hours.
  • Receiving and responding to incoming requests from end-users for core applications included in the standard desktop environment.
  • Maintaining existing relationships between InfraBuild and key EUC vendors.
  • Reporting, administering, and deploying Modern Provisioning systems (SCCM and Intune) end-user components, such as software deployment, desktop, and security updates (patching).
  • Contributing to and supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for commercial or general-purpose PCs and a base model for Process Control Systems.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of EUC technology and experience in addressing complex issues. An outstanding communicator, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science or a relevant tertiary discipline or equivalent working experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in End User Computing/Desktop technologies in a similar IT Support services role.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of troubleshooting on moderately complex hardware and software products.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or experience working in an ITIL environment.
  • Certified Microsoft professional (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and experience engaging with vendor partners to meet service level agreements.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly to a non-technical audience.
