Role Summary:

As an Asphalt Seal Spreader Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt seal spreader trucks and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of road construction and maintenance practices, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain asphalt seal spreader trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for sealing by assessing conditions and ensuring they meet specifications.
  • Apply sealant according to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient workflow and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Combination (MC) driver's licence is essential.
  • An opportunity to upgrade your HR licence to a Heavy Combination (HC) licence may be available for the right candidate.
  • Prior experience in asphalt spray sealing or a related field is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of road construction and maintenance practices is required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role.
