We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Southern NSW Local Health District. As a Clinical Lead - Sexual Harm and Safety Specialist, you will provide clinical leadership and support to clinicians providing specialist interventions to children, young people, adults, and their families who have experienced sexual assault or who are under the age of 10 and exhibiting problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and coordination of the Safe Wayz Program, which offers training, education, support, and clinical interventions to government and non-government organisations and families where there is identified PHSB.
  • Supervise and support clinicians in providing specialist interventions to children, young people, adults, and their families.
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed counselling approaches to support individuals and families affected by sexual assault.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive response to sexual assault and PHSB.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Psychology, full registration with AHPRA or eligible for membership of AASW.
  • Extensive specialist knowledge in providing culturally responsive, child-centred, and family-focused counselling that is trauma-informed and evidence-based.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills, capacity to prioritise competing demands, and the ability to manage and respond to self and colleagues in complex and/or stressful situations.
