About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Family Therapist to join our team at Samaritans. As a key member of our mental health services, you will be responsible for delivering clinical family therapy interventions to clients with complex mental health needs and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical family therapy interventions to clients with complex mental health needs and their families.
  • Establish and strengthen working partnerships with other service providers to enhance access to family therapy and support services.
  • Streamline referral pathways and provide education to staff regarding clinical family interventions.
  • Support the establishment of clinical service pathways between Central Coast Local Health District and Community Managed Organisations.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or equivalent.
  • Relevant industry experience in the delivery of clinical family therapy services.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of mediation and conflict resolution.
  • High-level negotiation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Understanding of the principles of Recovery Oriented Mental Health Practice.
