About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our team at headspace Cairns. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services to young people aged 12-25.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of young people and determine the best service pathway for them
  • Manage referrals and respond to enquiries
  • Conduct mental health assessments and risk assessments, including follow-up appointments
  • Provide intervention, therapy and group work
  • Provide appropriate advice and mentorship, including training and support to team members
  • Monitor and maintain intake waitlist
  • Participate in the provision of mental health education programs
  • Prepare and maintain client records and case notes
  • Maintain a caseload
