About the Job

The successful candidate will assist the Director of Event Technology in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of audio-visual department activities. This will involve preparations for client/production and weekly sales meetings, identifying opportunities to increase profitable revenue in applicable venues, and maintaining effective communication with accounts department, other venues and interstate offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Event Technology to ensure the smooth and efficient running of audio-visual department activities.
  • Assist in preparations for client/prodcution and weekly sales meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to increase profitable revenue in applicable venues.
  • Maintain effective communication with accounts department, other venues and interstate offices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in meetings and events is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of Audio-Visual Equipment and the hire thereof.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, time management & account management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
  • Customer-centric and ability to build strong and long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
  • Strong rostering and cost management experience.
  • Experience in hospitality or luxury sector.
  • Qualification in Hospitality or Events is highly regarded.
  • Team player.
