The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with operational staff and external contractors to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime. The position involves hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and commitment to safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:Perform regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and conduct maintenance tasks to quality standards.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and escalate major issues as necessary.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Work collaboratively with the Production Team to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the MEX system.
Assist in spare parts management and participate in maintenance projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in incident investigations and contribute to a positive workplace safety culture.
A recognized trade or tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical fields.
A valid Class C Driver's Licence.
Availability to work rotating morning or afternoon shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently with minimal disruption to operations.

Forklift licence.

Asbestos Awareness.
Experience in a commercial laundry or manufacturing environment.
Sound judgment and experience in prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
