About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Fertiliser Operations Manager to oversee the national bulk fertiliser strategy across South Australia and Victoria/Riverina.

This critical role will be responsible for managing daily fertiliser demand, coordinating timely order placements, executing supplier ranging strategies in alignment with agreements, monitoring and optimising inventory levels and financial reporting, and providing guidance on market pricing dynamics and competitive pricing strategies.

The successful candidate will also lead branches with regulatory compliance, product knowledge, and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of national fertiliser category strategy and business plan.
  • Manage fertiliser inventory levels, supply chain coordination, and procurement processes.
  • Execute supplier ranging strategies to achieve optimal pricing and margin growth.
  • Monitor and report on inventory levels, financial performance, and market trends.
  • Provide expert advice on market pricing dynamics, competitive pricing strategies, and product offerings.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and suppliers to drive category growth and operational improvements.

  • Proven experience in retail distribution, inventory management, and business planning.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Results-driven with commercial acumen, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • Highly organised with self-management skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Motivated to develop high-performing teams and foster continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental standards.
  • Tertiary qualification in agriculture, business, or related discipline preferred.
